Ten thousand spectators today pushed the Czech representation to the victory and qualification to the final but the Finnish players were resolutely against it. Finland secured the victory with a steely nerves and the defensive work was the most fundamental element of success.

Holmström: We wanted to succeed |

The United States received an imaginary consolation prize in the form of bronze medals for the third place in the Division B of the World Championship after the victory over Austria on Saturday afternoon. According to the statement of the main coach Holmström they wanted to leave the tournament with success.
