A great news for the WFC fans - the project of live web WFC 2008 matches is confirmed and is going to start and the first match will be broadcasted tomorrow. Already, you can find some introductory reports on florbal.ct24.cz. The web, which is administered by Czech TV and was founded in collaboration with the International Floorball Federation and Czech Floorball Union, will be in Czech. However, thanks to navigation in English foreign visitors will be able to find the matches they are interested in.

Pospíšil: It is an honour for Ostrava to host the World Championship |

Following the scenario proposed in advance by the Czech Floorball Union, the home World Championship takes place in two biggest floorball centres – Ostrava and Prague. Both hosting cities adopted the Championship and did their best for its successful preparation as well as course. In Ostrava, where the closely watched sports event is going to start tomorrow, the organization group and preparations were lead by Mr Lubomír Pospíšil, deputy mayor of the city of Ostrava.

Czech Television, the host broadcaster of the 2008 WFC has decided to run a specialized floorball news website. Inspired by current successful projects “Football Live” and “Ice Hockey Live” the brand new website should be launched on the occasion of the upcoming World Championship held in Prague and Ostrava.

Official cars for the 2008 WFC received from Škoda |

Just a few hours ago, the members of WFC Organization Committee took delivery of twelve cars which are to become the part of the official championship car fleet. The supplier is Škoda Auto, one of the official partners of the event.

Special EXEL WFC 2008 Collection Already on Sale |

One of the International Floorball Federation partners, Exel company producing floorball equipment, prepared a special “championship” collection of floorball sticks and accessories for the forthcoming World Floorball Championship. The collection characteristically called “WFC” is already available for sale at the website www.floorballshop.cz.
