Czechs first to face Russia on WFC |
|
Just a few days ago, the WFC organization board released a long-awaited game list. Ten months prior to the tournament is clear that the Czech team will begin its performance in ČEZ Arena on Saturday, December 6 against Russia.

EFC 2008 dominated by Swedish and Swiss |
|
A thrilling tournament on which the champions from the most advanced European floorball countries pit their strentgth against each other was hosted by Finland last week. And there was no lack of surprises there. From the Czech perspective the biggest and the best of all was the bronze medal of the women´s team of Děkanka after their overtime victory in the decisive game over Rönnby of Sweden. Also Tatran Střešovice did not stay behind, advancing to the semifinal over the Swiss team of Wiler and Viking Roma of Italy.

Champions heading to Finland |
|
The Euro Floorball Cup is this year´s first major international event for the floorball community. It is the last time the EFC takes place in the month of January, this year it will be on January 9 - 13th. The tournament on which the current national champions of many European countries are going to match up, is going to open the 2008 floorball calendar which will be closed, on the contrary, by the 2008 WFC in the Czech Republic.

One year before the beginning of Men‘ s World Championship in the Czech Republic, the national junior teams could confront their powers in Switzerland. As it has almost became a custom in the men’s category, the world champion title was taken by the Swedish, who overtook their opponents having a significant difference. Even the Czech team under direction of trainers Škubal and Mrázek did well, as they brought, from the 4th WFC of this category, silver medals.
