Koh: I hope we can play well to keep the crowd entertained
Klevin Koh is one of the most experienced players of the Singapore´s national team. He would like to round his journey with the team at a successful tournament.

How many WFCs have you ever played at?
Not that many, just four. I played at the 1st WFC in Uppsala in 1996, 1998 in Prague, 2002 in Helsinki and 2004 in Zurich. I have also taken part in the women's WFC in Riga 2001, Bern 2003 and Singapore 2005. Not as a player of course but in the capacity of a coach.

What is your experience with the national team so far?
Being among those few who had started to play floorball in Singapore I had the honour and opportunity to learn from a number of pioneers of the sport who were coming from different sports background like Field-hockey or so. Since 1996 I have played with the Singapore National team at four WFCs and about 5 APACs. This WFC will probably round up my journey with the team.

What is the final ranking your team wants to achieve at this tournament?
To be the first, of course! =) Realistically speaking, we want to better our position from previous WFC and beat a few teams along the way. We are back with a vengeance. I believe our previous performance has not been a true reflection of the development and potential of our players. I would love to change this.

Who is the strongest opponent you are going to meet?
One should never underestimate their opponents. We seem to be in a tough group indeed as we are to face Germany – a former A Division team – and Slovenia, both being serious contenders for the B Division title. Then it is Austria and Great Britain whom we have lost to previously. This I would say is a challenging group.

Do you have to financially support your team´s participation at the WFC?
Yes, the players have to pay almost half of travel and accomodation costs. Boarding will be also covered by the players themselves. It's kind of costly for us to travel to Europe from Asia and especially since most of our players are students.

What is your role in the team?
I'm a defender in my team and I do think my role is to share my experience with my team-mates. I was also the team Captain in 2007 and at the recently held APAC in Perth.

What do you expect from the tournament?
I hope this tournament would be as well-organised as the last. Besides I´d like to enjoy myself, have some fun and enjoy the cold weather here.

Why is that just you who should be supported by Czech audience?
Well, I wouldn't order the Czech audience whom to support and whom not. I am also aware that teams with defensive style can be quite boring to watch. Therefore I do hope we can play good offensive floorball to keep the crowd entertained.
