Ágoston: It was a tough game
Had the game been a few minutes longer, maybe we wouldn’t have heard Hungarian celebrating songs in the corridors of Sparta Arena. The end of the game against Slovenia was very tough, and the Hungarian coach Zsolt Ágoston confirmed it.

“First of all, I would like to say I’m very happy for the win, but I’d like to add that today’s victory was not easy. The Slovenians played one of their best matches. At the end they were very strong and we didn’t have powers to thwart their efforts,” Ágoston evaluated the match. As regards the impressions from the entire Championship, the man of the game, Gábor Pajor, was slightly sceptical: “It’s rather difficult to answer this question. When you think about it, we were only one game from qualifying among four best teams, but we also made a few changes before the Championship, like the Slovenians, so we lacked experience. But in 2010 you can expect much more from the Hungarian team,” Pájor promised in the end.
