Division B: Gold medal for Germany
The teams of Germany and Poland met today in the final of the Division B. The favoured Germans got a goal at the beginning but they quickly recovered, equalized in the tenth minute and finished the period by the lead 4:1 when Mucha brothers prepared the last two goals during power plays.

After the break it was the Poles’ turn to show to three thousand spectators that they would not give up easily. And they really managed to surprise the opponent. In the fourth minute of the second period they reduced the score from a fixed situation, three minutes later they caught up by a nice touch in power play and at the game time 27:13 the score was equal, the captain Mikulski led hid team. The German coach took time-out to calm down his players and motivate them to the other play and his step was worth. Sixty-one seconds later the Germans were leading again and scored other four goals before the second horn.

After other change of the sides the final was almost decided, Poland even improved the score to 9:6 but more was beyond their strength. The final result was 11:7, the best players of the match were Manuel Mucha and Oliwer Wrónski. The Germans deservedly won and can rejoiced at the gold medals and the direct qualification for the next world championship.
