Czech organizers of the World Championship have taken a personal challenge in making the biggest floorball event of 2008 open for utmost visitors. Thus, they have decided that the best and loftiest venues for elite A Division games will be two ice-hockey arenas.

Sazka Arena, ČEZ ArénaAfter a long negotiation period the two best venues available in the country have been acquired in favour of the “Czech” championship.

The Preliminary Groups games will be played in Ostrava´s ČEZ Arena with a seating capacity of over 9700 spectators, the Final weekend will take place in Prague´s Sazka Arena, the largest sports hall nationwide which can withhold an audience of 17 500. The fan´s eye can be looking forward to seeing the first-class games of all top teams headed by the current world champion team Sweden in the background of halls having already hosted an all star selection from the fields of sports and culture.
“The reason for finally coming to here is first and foremost the aim of keeping and possibly improving the quality of men´s World Championships which took place on similar stages – e.g. the Globen arena in Sweden or Hartwall Arena in Finland and best possible presentation of floorball as well. The WFC is a top event which needs a top service”, says Filip Šuman, the President of the Czech Floorball Union and 2008 WFC Organizing Committee Chairman.

Thanks to high popularity of floorball in Czech lands the organizers were able to conclude attractive ticket prices as well so there is no need to worry for any visitor that games in this exclusive setting would be made unattainable.
